Default Q randomly lighting up

Hey guys I just have a question about my Q and if any of you ever have (or still are) experiencing your Q back light coming on randomly like it is receiving a text message or email. But the sound or vibration never goes off but I have no messages or anything. I also don't have any alarms or anything set. So I am quite confused...kinda think I am missing out on some text message.

hmm..mine isn't set to look for email. buut the 1x to EVDO could be my culprit. but it seems to be doing it a hell of a lot more lately...prolly that software update alltel made me do. that's kind of weird considering i'm staying in one spot most of the time. but oh well. thank you for you help I think i'll adopt that as the reason it keeps doing it. appreciate it!

I've had the same problem with my Q for a while, however, it does vibrate or make a sound like the "Nextel chirp" every so often. Along with the constant reboots - makes me wonder if it isn't time for a new one. Mine is almost a year old.

I believe the "nextel chirp" sounding thing is the unread message alert.

Nope, it isn't. I don't have unread messages when this occurs, it doesn't occur when the low-battery alarm goes off or anything. It is completely random, just like the vibrating thing. It only makes the noise when it is not in "meeting" profile, which it is during the day at work. I have checked all my alert settings and have none set. The battery is fully charged, and this occurs while my Q is simply sitting on my desk or in my pocket/purse or whatever.

Thanks, though (sorry to have sounded brash).
