Q keeps shutting off

I recently received my Q and I am having a problem with the phone just shutting off if I don't use it for an hour or so. It's not just the screen went black its actually shut down and I have to turn it back on. I am missing calls and its starting to be irritating as I am checking it every 5 minutes to make sure it didn't turn off. Is there a setting I need to set to eliminate this or did I get a bad phone. Thanks.

I don't see why there would be a setting for this.. is the battery fully charged? Does it shut off after the same exact amount of time has passed every time?

This reeks of a bad phone. Your phone should not turn off unless you turn it off, or it runs a battery dry. There is no setting for this. I am so sorry this is happening to you. That kind of stuff drives me absolutely nuts when it happens to me.

Take it back to Verizon. The phone is bad and will not fix itself.

Take it back and get one that works.

Hey, my Q was randomly turning off too. I realized everytime i placed it down (with some force) it would turn off. I figured out that the battery (even though the case was on) was loose inside the phone. I stuck a small piece of paper between the battery and the phone to secure it and the phone has not turned off since!

Mine has been doing this recently too. I tried the piece of paper trick but it cut off 5 minutes later. I'll try the update to see if it helps when i get my cord back from a friend. Is it possible that downloaded themes could be doing this? It did it 5 times within 2 hours yesterday and i had just installed the UGA theme. I changed to the carbon fiber theme and it didn't do it all day today until about 5 minutes ago. This is a problem for me since i use my Q as a second alarm clock. If it doesnt go off i may not make it to work.

My phone has also started doing this which is very annoying. Ive had my phone for 7 weeks and just last week it started to do this. I clicked on that link but it appears that it is not working anymore. If anybody else has suggestions please let me know, I would rather not have to take this back as I have an invisable shield on it.

This is now the second Q I have which has developed the shut off problem
weeks after delivery. I was unable to access the link with the potential fix and would rather not have to send the phone back again.

Is there any other way to access the the upgrade?

I just got my Q yestereday..I use t and then sit it and the screen goes black. I assumed it was a setting to save the battery. Can anyone help me?
