Hello folks...
I have a Q that is about a year old... and I am having problems that appear to be battery-related... I have the extended-life, extra-thick battery, and I've never gotten more than about a day's life out of my Q... so I have been charging overnight, and using during the day... but lately, the life seems a bit less than that... and occasionally it has been spontaneously shutting down or rebooting, even without getting a battery alarm. I would have thought that the problem was entirely related to the battery, and simply replaced it, except that the behavior isn't consistent.
Here's a list of symptopms:
- Battery life seems reduced
- Q sometimes does not recognize that it is connected to a charging source, even though I get an audible 'beep' when plugging it in - it can be plugged into a powered charger, but not display the charging icon in the upper right.
- Occasionally I will pull it from its holster, and it will be off.
- Occasionally I will hear it restart without any intervention on my part.
There is some chance that I am brushing the Q against things, and am hitting keys or controls while it is on my belt, but I have no way of knowing if that is contributing to the problem. Clearly that is happening some of the time.
I have the original OS (5.1.195) with my phone, and have not updated it.
Any suggestions?
