Problems with people hearing me!! - Motorola Q Forum

I have had my Q for about 3 or 4 weeks now and about a week ago or so i started having problems with my phone. everything works fine but when people call me or i call them they cannot hear me, i can hear them fine but they get nothing.

anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? i cannot return my phone to verizon because i bought it off ebay so pretty much im screwed if i cant fix the problem!

nope i didnt drop it at all! is there anything i can do for this besides buy a new phone?

You could also try resetting all of your call profiles.

I have had this problem sometimes during call handoffs from data usage. Apparently the phone doesn't switch from data channels to voice channels quickly enough sometimes and the call gets carried on the EVDO frequencies. EVDO is asymmetric with low bandwidth uplinks so in such situations I hear callers fine but I come across as choppy and unintelligible. If I call them back after the phone switches or they return the call eveything is fine.
