Default problems getting avi's to work

How (or is it even possible) do you make synch'd video files full screen? I have the graphics and audio settings maxed and it's about half the screen??? Thanks in advance.

Default Avi Fullscreen

First, are you just downloading video clips, if that's the case alot of videos are not formatted for 320x240. Next, if you are converting your own videos what program are you using? I use PocketDvix Encoder and if your converting a widescreen movie then you will have the top and bottom black areas. Finally, are you using TCPMP or just the lousy Window Media Player. You can get TCPMP at http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/download

thanks for the tips stryker. So far using pocket divx encoder has failed, and using videora has failed. Using videora I got the video to be full screen, but it was choppy and I didn't send it through windows media. But I don't have TCPMP installed yet so that could be why. I can't get TCPMP to work...which download do I get because I downloaded one for "pocket PC" since that's basically what a Q is...so I go to install it and on my Q it said the software was not intended for my device?

Also, using pocket divx to encode then using windows media to transfer it works, but it is not full screen. it's almost like windows media wont allow it to go past a certain size or the Q doesn't havbe enough ram to run it at the full screen resolution. And by the way it's not black around top and bottom only, it''s black on all 4 sides, as if the res is only 170x120 or something.

Default Tcpmp

Install the .cab for windows smartphone (not pocket pc) And with PocketDviX encoder when you first start program choose the pda, which will format to 320x240 for full screen movies and 320x180 for widescreen movies.

okay I've gotten the full screen to work but there's a problem. On some files I copy certain portions of it are extremely pixelated but when fast forwarded to other parts they are fine. Is there a quality setting I can change in Pocket Divx or in TCPMP?

Default TCPMP Optimal settings

Here's my settings on TCPMP:
1)pixel aspect ratio-->auto
2) Intel Xscale video driver selected
3) Hot key assigned for exit (prevents Q from freezing white screen if exiting any other way)
4) Buffer 4992
5) Preload at underrun -- 80%
6) preload for audio 128 (prevents A/V out of sync problems)
I also have a fast 150x ATP MiniSD from www.usamemory.net that kicks some major butt. Also install TCPMP to your memory card. It also helps to kill all your tasks prior to watching video and install the update. TCPMP loads movies alot faster and has higher benchmarks with the new update.

I am not getting these same options as you. In TCPMP under pixel aspect ratio I do not have an auto option anywhere to select. Also, under drivers the driver you listed is also not there. As for the miniSD I bought a 2gig chip from futureshop, it says SanDisk on it. Not sure if this is good or bad...probably bad lol. I got the 7.1 version..I see there's a 7.2...should I get the .cab or the .exe or both?

Well I just went ahead and deleted my older version and downloaded the new one. I got a few of the settings, but I don't have the Intel video driver you have there stryker..and a few other things. I do not have the software update yet...apprently canadians can't get the update yet according to the motorola site...I'm signed up to be notified of an update though :P

As for my problem with the picture...it looks awesome except for one 30 second clip of the video it just goes really bad quality and pixely but then as you get past those 30 sec it looks great again. I think it must have lagged or something happened when I was converting it.
