Question Problem! Outlook keeps launching by itself!

I have a Q and have it set up to my work email system. Via ActiveSync on my PC, I have set the Q to launch Outlook manually, NOT automatically.

However, every 10 minutes or so, Outlook launches automatically, and then stays launched, thus depleting my battery. Every so often, I have to kill Outlook in order to conserve battery life.

Are there any other settings that I'm missing here? I can't get the Q to stop launching Outlook.

Thanks,
Gravey

It's a known issue I don't believe there is a fix for it.

I just had this start happening to me as well, I acidentally ran outlook and nowI can't get it to stop running in the backgroud and 7 hours after I went to bed with two battery bars, I woke up to an alert of a low battery.

If I can't fix it, I am taking the phone back and getting a the "V" instead. I am thinking a Reset may solve the problem but then I have to go back and change all my settings again!!..

ARRRGGGH!!!!!

You just have to monitor background activity, and periodically Kill all the processes you don't want running. Once you get used to doing it, you see noticible phone speed differences as well.

I appreciate the advice. I don't use anything but Gmail and have no use for Outlook on my Q so its a deal breaker for me. Until I ran the program it was never a problem. So I assume a reset will fix it. Just wish Moto had worked with Microsoft to stop this from happening.
