Facts are facts...Palm has been here longer and there are more applications.

TRUE this will not always be the case....but for the moment there are more for Palm.

As far as one better then the other, that is all a user experience kind of thing. For work now I carry my personal Q, since I like the UI better, and I also carry a TREO700W. I was offered the P or the W and I choose W since I like the UI better and, in time, there will be as many if not more applications available.

Major differences from Q and other...WM and no touchscreen...or Palm and touchscreen. You have to use it, you have to decide...personally I would still choose Q over the 650 just as a personal choice even if not for functionality and applications.

Motorola is always coming out with new phones.

Are you saying you've heard about a new Motorola Windows Mobile phone? I don't recall having heard anything about a "Scratchpad". There was a SCPL (Scalpel), but I've read that it's Linux-based.

Default Size is one difference as noted...

Wondering if there are others who switched and can comment about new features, or ones you miss from Treo?

How about the phone, is the radio section as good as Treo and what's the user interface like.

Sure would like some reccomendations. We can move offline with discussion if you prefer.

Thanks,

I chose the Q over the Treo for three main reasons... one was the size of the Q... (width) I am able to type much faster on my Q than when I tested the treo... my thumbs could not navigate the treo (again this is my experience)...

The phone quality of the Q won out each time and I tested many different treo's... along with the vrecognition on the Q... (some have posted issues with their vrecognition but mine has worked great)...

A "beefier" processor on the Q would be very nice!... There are times (even after "killing" any open app) my Q is very sluggish... However, it is better now that I removed a few aps that must have been running too "much" in the background.

I do miss the "touch" screen of a Palm device I used for years... however, for most of the time... it is not a deal stopper...
