If you delete all registry entries with pmsn it will stop loading.

Where or what is resco? can I have more detailed instructions please?

this will kill pMSNserver.exe within 30 seconds.

-go to resco and on home screen search MSN.
-now open up InprocServer32
-go to (Default) key
-change name to pMSNShared.dl

This did not do it for me. As soon as I sent a text message, the pmsnserver.exe came right back up...

Install it to the Q. Then run the app from the Q.

Well. Heck! That's what I'm doing. When I search for pmsn, all I get is the one thing with the .dll -----I changed it to .dl ---and it did not solve the problem. I never get the whole list of pmsm items to "delete ". I really do not know what I'm doing wrong.

RESCO will show you one at a time . . . you have to find again until it finds no more.

There is a software update made available on the Motorola's home site that is said to solve the battery issue. Make sure you have a full charge on your battery before trying to update or it will not allow you to update. I will post and confirm if this update solves the battery drain issue.

Let's hope this resolves the pmsnserver problem.
I have read a couple of post where people say that they don't see where the pmsn process is a problem. I disagree!!! Everytime it shows up, my battery life decreases rapidity.

The update is MOL2 it does help with battery life. It does not fix the pmsnserver.exe problem.

As far as the update. If your Q is black or grey you have the latest update. If it is silver the you might have to update.

So I did more reading. There is a new update for sprint. I wonder if we will see one for VZW
