it's not lame in my opinion.... i thnk this device was/is intended for bizniz use. if you can't tell from that size pic who's calling how can you read the text on this device ? :}

well here, lemme show some pics of my kids. Oh by the way...have you got a magnifying glass??? Or some of my friends have lil videos associated with the caller in full screen. Seems like that should come standard with the phone thumbnail or full screen option
