You don't understand. The phone completely dissappears from the OS. The phone option is not in the wireless manager to switch on.

No kogama, there's no phone anything in the wireless manager at all! There's just bluetooth stuff in the wireless manager! That's the point, you see.

Default This worked - also, I changed batteries, and it was hot

OK, when I opened my phone, I thought the battery seemed hot to the touch. This is clearly a bad sign. So, I changed from the high-cap battery to the low capacity one, and I let the phone sit for a good hour or so completely OFF to just cool down. Sure enough, phone functionality is back.

I tend to think it has something to do with low battery power plus heat, but I'm not sure. I'll have to watch it for more symptoms of this. Now it's time to search the forum for another annoyance to solve! Thanks alot for your help!

Kogama, the whole point of my posts anyway is that sometimes, you can wake up in the morning and see that the entire functionality of the phone is missing. There is no phone at all in wireless manager, none.

One theory is that the phone circuitry got a little too hot and shut down. Maybe the threshold to shut down is lowered by low battery condition (hmm possible, but maybe not really likely now that I think about it).

When we open the back cover and remove the battery, we're letting all the circuits turn completely off, plus we're letting air ciculate in the back of the phone. It might be just enough to get things working again, who knows?

This is a case where there is no phone capability at all. The Q will not ask you to turn the phone on. This is NOT the case where you have turned the phone off as in the wireless manager. This is the case where the entire circuitry is lost. So, we've seen a couple times here, take the batter out, let the phone rest and cool down, but the battery back in and be in business.

I think that it's bad there's a problem with these phones, though and we have to watch to see how often it occurs.
