New here, and just trying to find any help I can from people who are probably more familiar with the Motorola Q than I am.
My boss has a Q, and was thrilled when PhatSpell finally released a spellcheck program. (We'd been keeping an eye on QoolApps, who have apparently abandoned their own efforts at a Q spellchecker.)
Recently, PhatSpell has "stopped working" in email. That is, after writing an email, holding the Enter key (default PhatSpell activator) does not bring up the spellcheck context menu. I tried changing to one of the other hotkeys —"0", since vol. up & down register as page scrolling—which did bring up the menu, but also seems to freeze the device.
I don't expect nitty-gritty technical support from fellow users, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced similar symptoms. Let me know—maybe we can hack out a solution together!
I've noticed the same thing happening but it seems to be anywhere I use it. For some reason after using Phatspell and then not using it for a day or two, I have to go to the Phatspell program and launch it again and sometimes it even asks me to enter my registration code although I've already done that several times already. Once I've sort of "jostled" it back to life then it works the way it's supposed to unless, of course I don't use it for a few days and then I have to open it, and on and on.
I've never had luck with restarting the program, not have I seen a second request for the reg key. Usually we just end up restarting the device, and presto! PhatSpell is back.
