Painfully Slow

I was advised, by Verizon, to download the software update for my Q last week. After doing so my phone is twice as slow as it was before. When I scroll down the screen, the icons on the top get a black background behind them, scrolling is slower, when I select an item it might take a second or two to register. Is something wrong w/ my software? Are the Qs just that slow? Can I fix this some how?

check task manager to see if you have a lotta stuff running in the background. if that doesnt help try a reset

well, if you don't have installed or customized too much how about a Master Reset..

if verizon told you to do the update, id go throw a fit try to get a new one

Check your temp internet files.
Open internet explorer- menu -tools- options- Memory.
Clear all the temp files.

edit.. too late.. but if you browse internet on your Q. you need to delete temp files once in awhile. When it starts taking up more then 5MB you'll see the phone lag.(just what you've reported)

I've also noticed slowness when upgrading from v2 to v3.
