Default Outlook Not Installed..but want to transfer to Windows Calendar and Contacts

Hey Everyone!

I was wondering, not everyone has Outlook installed on their computer, and I know I don't have it, and I was wondering if anyone has any idea's on how to get Motorola Q's Contacts, Calendar and Tasks to transfer onto my computer using Windows Mobile Device Center (I currently have version 6.1 installed on my Vista machine), NOT transfering infomation to Outlook but transfering to various programs that are including in Vista, such as Windows Calendar and Windows Contacts?

Any Suggestions?

Default Windows Mobile Device Center

I can sync everything through active sync that is installed. But it's all about Windows Mobile 6.1, you NEED to have outlook installed to transfer your contact information, and calendar appointments. You can transfer your pictures / music through Windows Media Player and Mobile Device Player.

What I REALLY want to do is have my contacts transfered through ActiveSync (WMDC) and then have it go to Windows Calendar, and Windows Contacts, so then I can see them...becuase I've updated my phone and already had to re-type all 203 contacts back into my phone, and believe me, I think I started to get cramps in my thumbs from typing!

I'm with you I have outlook on my Vista box but I hate it. I don't use the email but I want to sync my contacts and calendar withhaving to go through outlook (I use google cal and it's a lot easier to sync it with windows calender then outlook). I don't think its a problem with the Q but with Activesync. I'll try to find a solution and let you know im

I contacted Microsoft about my idea for this, and they forwarded my suggestions to Microsoft Product Development Team for review. Wow, this may be a while.....

They also told me that I should contact Microsoft Pre-Sales Team. They told me I could buy Outlook seperately for only $159.00, I could have bought the Microsoft Office Professional and still saved money!

hmmm...oh well, I'll just continue to suffer until they come up with a solution, but in the mean time, I've downloaded the 60-day trial of Outlook, and waiting until that expires until I spend my $159.00!

I've been looking for a work around and I can't find any.Microsoft should let you sync with Windows Calendar and Contacts. I HATE USING OUTLOOK it's pointless for what I need it to do. I don't care about email(I have gmail) and I love how simple Windows Calendar is. why go through the hassle of outlook if you don't have to? Why would microsoft come out with their calendar and not let you sync it? Its just stupid. They just want you to go out and buy Outlook just to get it to sync with your phone (Gready Bastards) Not to mention they don't include Outlook with Microsoft Office Student edition anymore so theres more money in Microsoft's pocket.
