Default OTA sync fine, USB sync gets 85002003 error

Hello all.

I just got my Sprint Q set up, and updated MS ActiveSync to 4.5.0, so that I could use the push feature. My office email syncs automatically OTA, and the push feature works great...as long as I'm not connected to my computer via USB. When I connect, ActiveSync attempts to sync via USB, fails, and I get an error message saying

"The server could not be reached. This can be caused by temporary network conditions. Error code 85002003."

Meanwhile, on my Q, I get an error message saying "Your Internet connection is not configured properly. Please verify your settings in Data Connections."

I can't figure out what to do at this point. Shouldn't I be able to sync both ways?

I just upgraded from ActiveSync 4.2 to 4.5 and had the same problems. To fix this open Connection Settings on ActiveSync and choose "The Internet" from "This computer is connected to:" rather than the default of "Automatic".

Not sure why this has to be changed, but that should fix your problem.

Genius. Probably the one and only time I'll need to post here but thanks, it worked perfectly with my WM5 device

(This is one of those things that has been bugging me for ages but I've never managed to fix!)
