Only one message in Inbox at a time? - Motorola Q Forum

Help please. I set up my gmail accounts on my Q with the messaging option. I can send and recieve well. Issue are:

- one message is kept in my Inbox. As soon as a new message arrives it bumps the other message out and dissappears.

- Message that is still visible in the gmail internet interface is not not being downloaded locally to my Outlook, and it is no longer visible on my Q.

Any thoughts? I tried ActiveSync and the did not appear to sync up at all with anything!!

Me again, I did try the leave messages on server option on the Outlook side and they did not help.

Many people have experienced this problem on these forums. Do a search for gmail and you should find some work arounds. The bottom line is that 1) The Q trys to stay in "sync" with POP3 email servers and 2) Gmail only announces new mail, not all of you mail (this is by design since your Gmail box can be over 2GB). Once you download and read an entire email, Gmail will not announce it again and it will dissappear from your Q.

Thanks, I do not even get a chance to read the e-mail! If I get another new message before my message is read it is gone. Then it also never appears in Outlook. I tried to create a new gmail account and enable POP3 only for my phone and the same issue happened.

I did google for a fix, (that was the big one above) and the forums of sites, and my issue appears a bit unique. I love this phone but I am having many other issues as well.

- ActiveSync will not work with a USB cord. (Also no fixes I have found) and I have tried everything

- WirelessSync also will not sync with my Inbox on my PC.

- Bluetooth will not work

I mean I used to a MS Sys Engineer, this should not be that difficult, and I am just giving up. My husband has the Treo and I may go that way now.
