Only my Inbox syncs not contacts or sent box

While at the office I use MS Outlook. When an email comes in it will hit my outlook and also my Q. If I update contacts on my desktop Outlook it does not sync with my Q, and also my sent box does not sync either. I have it selected on the Q to sync these things, but it doesn't. I have my Q set to activesync with the exchange server in our home office which is in another state. I also have the problem where my Q can't be set to sync as mail arrives, so I have it set to sync every 5 min. I don't think this is a problrm with the Q, but perhaps how my Outlook is setup. Any ideas?
