wut kind of phone is your old one?i had a treo 700wx and i had it running with active sync on my pc...i actually wrote down all my 200 or so contacts before swapping the 700wx for the q thinking id have to reenter everything manually...to my surprise when i first connected my q to active sync it automatically jus copied all my numbers back onto the q...anyway i was happy...hopefully you got er figured out...

You really need to tell us the brand and model of the phone. The carrier doesn't really help much.

If you can't find any other way to do it, check out Data Pilot.

Hi

Question please. I've finally got somethings sorted out or so I think. Like backing up my sms, (thank you very much) and I also set up activesync. It took me long enough to figure out backing up the sms (w/Jeyo Mobile Extender) but anyhow got it done. Going for the hard reset right now @ sprint. Before going, is there anything I need to do so that my contacts and other info will sync back onto my q? I'd be a crazy person if I wasn't able to get it back onto my q. Thank you.

since you used the extender from jeyo ill assume you have outlook
as long as your outlook has your contacts and calendar you are good to go

another step you can take is copy the PIM.vol file from the Q's root directory and paste it on your PC then after the reset move it back
this holds all the contacts and calendar stuff for the Q

Thank you, but may i ask where in Outlook should I look for pim.vol file? I'd read about that file and copied it to my storage card. Will that help any? Guess I'm just a bit unsure because of the possibility of losing all my data. I backed up all that I could. I just don't know where it is (LAUGHING @ MYSELF). I was hoping that I would just be able to connect my q with the pc once again and let it do what it needs to do with activesync. If this is not right PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thanks again.

if all your info is in outlook then just sync it up again

but the PIM.vol is on the Q in the root directory if you want an extra backup of the Q's info
