Default Odd Start-Up Behavior

When ever I restart my Q the home screen appears but shows the battery empty warning exclamation mark despite it being fully charged. When I go to the security screen, I have my phone locked, and enter the password, the key strokes when entered are really slow to appear. The phone in general is sluggish until after I accept the password. I then get the home screen showing the correct battery level and everything is fine. This is not that big of a deal, just a bit of an annoyance. Has anyone else experienced this behavior by the phone? Any solutions to it?

Thanks,

Mark

my Q does a similar thing, well in my case it's the looking for the network.. in the days when i still had the default clock on my home screen both the battery and clock wouldn't appear until like 20-30 seconds after the home screen was loaded.. i don't have to press any keys though.

(+ i only power cycle the phone when forced to :}

It's something I think most of them do. Mine also shows the empty battery when it forst starts for almost a minute and then everything returns to normal and shows full battery.

I was kind of hoping there was some type of software update or patch I could install to fix it. It sounds like that might not be possible. On a related note, how do I know if I have the latest operating system for my phone? Is it worth upgrading if I don't? I read on the Motorola website that if you upgrade you must reinstall all third party software and I have a lot of it. This is the type of problem you would expect to be corrected in an upgrade.

Thanks,

Mark

I just figured mine did that because it is running a version of Windows. My hard drive on my PC keeps churning a couple minutes after my desktop appears and things are slow. I attributed it to a Microsoft thing ;-)
