Default No touch screen-is it an issue?

I am seriously considering a "Q". My use will be very simple. Phone, (I need excellent quality)... calender, and contact list. Listen to mp3 files (podcast, music, etc) with special ring tones by caller (for when my wife, kids, gkids, work, etc ... I like different ring tones for each caller). I want to use the blue tooth and be able to use voice commands. It appears as if the Q does an excellent job in this category.

I like the touch screen of a few other phones. I have been using a palm devise (not phone) for many years and like being able to quickly hand write my entries...

Has anyone else switched from using a device that you can write on the screen to one you enter via the "thumb" keyboard with no regrets?

From the few times I "played" with the phones in the store, it appears as if the Q has better phone quality than other "similar" phones.

thanks

frank

It is VERY easy to get used to that scroll wheel once you use it for a little while...just as quick as touch screen once you master it...LOL but I dont have any problems with the touch wheel system as opposed to touch screens, the one thing that I dont like about touch screens is that you are always using a pen on it and its TOUCH sensitive...but, either way works just as good!

I actually never even use the wheel. I use the directional keys. Pressing really hard on the wheel is annoying. I navigate faster with the directionaly keys.

It took some getting used to, but I now prefer the directional keys over the touch-screen. I rarely use the wheel.

Same here. During the first couple days, it drove me nuts, but once you get used to it, you'll think "Who needs a touch screen?"
