Default No predictive text available in email body

Does anyone know why the predictive text feature seems available everywhere except for the body of the email message? It works in the subject line; and in all other text applications; just not the one I need it most. I haven't been able to find any settings to affect this other than the ability to turn it on or off in the settings menu.

If you have a signature enabled, predictive text won't work in the body.

I only see the predicitve text if I tap the D-Pad right button when typing in the email body. I thought it was supposed to display as I type!

Default Thanks BPratt - removing the signature fixed it

Do you happen to know if the "feature" that turns off the predictive text when you have an automatic signature is a Microsoft issue, or a Motorola issue? I'd like to submit a request to the appropriate company to change this "feature".

To be honest I'm not sure who owns this 'feature'. I would guess Microsoft - which gives me hopes of seeing it improved in the future.

I've lost all iTap/predictive text system wide, text messages, emails (without signatures) calendar events, everything!

Does anybody know if there is a certain app or hack that messes this up, or a way to restore this function sans a master reset?

I've seen a lot of posts about this, and it seems all I've seen for a resolution is a master reset, which i would like to avoid.

I'll start with the obvious. Have you checked the Text Input Settings applet and made sure Text Prediction is checked?

I guess I should have mentioned that yes, I did the obvious thing and toggled text prediction on and off.

Did you happen to try the old Itap hack for threading programs(Post MOL2)?
