I am updating the firmware as we speak, figured that couldn't hurt. My question is tho, when the arrows are showing above the battery (I know that means data transferring/updating) are my mins. being used? I currently have Sprint and have not signed up for any kinda of internet plan, so am i paying for this?

Also just wondering what are some key and popular mods in any people go with on there Q. I am not looking for anything crazy just see whats out there...any help would be great.

the arrows mean that the phone's radio is in data mode. the pda icon indicates data transfer. as far as what mods are popular, check the hacks thread. they are all there.

if u have the data plan look for the youtube hack and sign up for skyfire youll have to wait until the late summer probably to get it though

how can i set up my yahoo account? also does the google maps and on demand service cost money as well?

google maps is free but uses a data connection which will add $$$ to your bill.
Also, go to yahoo's website and do a search on how to set it up.

i tried a few times looking for Yahoo couldn't find it...sorry tho I will check again

email will also use data..thus $$ with no plan

if you have the original Q you can finagel a $10/m unlimited data plan due to Sprint TV and Picture Mail not being supported on it. There is a "fix" for the pc mail...but don't tell them.

get insurance if you don't have it.
