Default Newbie Battery Question

Okay, not so much as a question as needing people to tell me I have not gone crazy. Received my new Q this week. Syncing with Outlook-no problem. Connecting to Bluetooth-no problem. Installing programs, customizing screen-no problem. Getting the thing to charge via a wall adapter-PROBLEM!
I have now tried two Motorola wall chargers that will not charge the Q. They will charge my old Razr without problem. The Q will be recognized via USB without issue, and will charge via the USB without problems. With my car charger, it will charge without problems. But I cannot get the thing to charge from a wall outlet. I have searched the forums and tried all the solutions (charging with it on, charging with it off, turning off and on, bending the USB adapter). None of that works. Any ideas? REturn the phone? Any idea would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried the wall charger that came with the Q or are these two chargers you had with the RAZR? If it's charging via USB I can't see how there would be a problem with your Q.

One thing I have found is you need to have the charger plugged in before connecting it to the Q. If you unplug the charger from the wall and plug it back in with the Q still connected it won't charge. At least this is what I've found with my Q.

SAdelman-I'm experiencing symptoms somewhat like yours..usb-everything's good. Wall charger(s) would charge everytime if phone was powered off. Phone on however, would not charge.

I purchased a cradle off ebay that came w/o charger-just cradle. Plugged one of the wall chargers I'd been experimenting with into the cradle, cradled the phone (turned on) viola! charges like a champ.

It's been a week or so, charging each night and all's been well...'till this morning. Took it off the cradle this am, message comes up saying Main battery is critically low, and needs a charge so's not to potentially lose some data. Damn. Put it back on for 15 minutes, and it had taken some charge, enough that the message didn't come up. As I type, it's plugged into the usb cable and charging.

I even purchased and installed Fizz monitor so I could see the word "charging" when it was plugged into a/c power. I'm sure it said it was charging last night, but I could be wrong...staff golf tourney yesterday w/ quite a few beers involved.

Probably doesn't help you much, but at least you know you're not alone! I don't want to blame the phone so much, as everything works perfectly with the usb cable.

Default Thanks

Thanks for letting me know I am not crazy. The only thing I can think of (from my experience and yours) is that there is some minor variance in the USB connector. Can this be possible? I would think that they are all standard. I will try the cradle trick and see if that works. I will let you know. Thanks Again
