Is there really a built in GPS in this thing? How can you get software to recognize it if there is?

Thanks, and sorry, but I'm not finding a bloody thing...

There are literally thousands of posts about gps in the forum. However, you can't use the search bar to find them because gps is not a big enough word. Either add another word to the search or use google

gps site:http://www.everythingq.com/forum/

To answer your question yes, there is a gps chip inside...it can be used in several ways but some software is always involved.

If you have unlimited internet:
Google Maps
MicrosoftLive
If you have enough storage for maps:
GarminMobileXT
TomTom(something)
If you just want to see your coordinates:
GPSTest

Regards,
Matt

I have never gotten my Q to find any satellites with Google Maps (app). This is the only program I have tried. Any ideas?
