new user, moto q turning off - Motorola Q Forum

hello, i got my moto q from sprint last night. im having a problem (or what i think is a problem)...and i did a quick search to see if it had been asked/resolved before and didn't see anything immediately, so thats why im starting a new thread...i apologize if it indeed has been asked before.

ok...so the problem is...the moto will be on and working fine...then if i dont use it for awhile (say 10 mins)...it goes to black and i can't turn it back on unless i remove the battery and put it back in and then restart...

and i mean, if it goes to black and i notice it, i can push a button and the screen pops back up...but when i dont notice it for awhile...thats when im unable to "turn it back on"...

i hope that makes sense and i hope someone can offer some advice, tips.

i had the same problem with my first q. nothing that i know of that you can do other than take it back to the store and have them replace it. verizon replaced mine with no ??, after i explained what was happening with it.

correct me if im wrong but i think it was because i had the "display time out" option on....

its difficult, 'cause im not sure if it really is a problem or just a setting i can change...

my old phone wasn't this nice.

mine did the same thing til i found a registry hack that turns off low power mode...fixed the problem, you can do a search on this forum to find the fix

well, i ended up taking it back and they gave me a new one...free of charge...and its definitely better...there was definitely somethgin wrong with that other one...
