New Sprint customer. Losing incoming calls!

Is this "normal" performance for the Q? I live in Orange County, CA, and my signal strength is always fairly strong. Many times people call me, and my phone will not ring and will not indicate any missed calls. My wife has tried to call me 5 times in a row and cannot get me because my phone never gets the call. This happened when I was outdoors and signal was good. Other times or days it works fine.

Customer service has already "reprogrammed" my phone - basically configuring it with what it already had. Surprise, no improvement. I'm out of the 30 day period (probably 50 days now), so Sprint tells me I'd need to pay to have the phone looked at. This sucks.

Were you streaming music/video? I've read about people having trouble receiving calls when using their internet connection. If so, there's a setting you can change that might help.

While I've only had my Q for a few weeks, I've had that happen at times. But I've also heard from my co workers (who have Sprint but different phones) that this type of thing is almost commonplace.

I've never streamed anything, the phone was in my backpack the last time. The only thing I can think of is it checks my email every 5 minutes I think. Could that cause problems?

call into advanced tech support and ask them to reload your HLR's....then reboot the phone....should solve it

if it still doesnt work after that, set it to roam only, then back to sprint only...
