Make sure you're actually using the storage card. Install programs onto your card instead of the device and move files over to the card as well.

Try these:
  1. Use the hacks to move mail and Internet Explorer temp files and cache to the card.
  2. Set your camera to store pictures and video on your card (under options).
  3. Reinstall your programs onto the card (if the card is funtioning correctly in the Q the option will come up asking if you want the app on the device or storage card (default is device).
  4. Clear out your temporary files with something like SKTools or go into IE and clear them out under options.
  5. Move files like music and such over to your card.

Well those bullet points ar a good start to utilizing your memory. Remember - Music eats up 64MB of user memory really fast.

If you check out the Moto Q Hacks threads at the top of this forum and in Qusers.com's Tips forums you'll find all you eed to know about the hacks. You just need Resco Explorer, PHM or Total Commander (you can find all these here in software) to edit the registry.

Also, I still haven't found anyway to remove those programs completely. The .lnk files are still on my phone.

I can give links later, but it's all easily found.

Programs installed by AllTel. Problem is a few of the files are System and Read-Only and change back if you remove those properties. I removed the programs. What's left are these shortcuts in the Windows directory, so I don't mind. I figure there's a registry entry I can fool with to change this, but shortcuts don't take up all that much memory.

I just gutted the start menu links and program files with no probems.

no they dont...you can try to change the read-only setting in a registry editor and then try to delete

One of these days I'll get around to searching the registry to see.
