mp3's won't play on Q from storage card - Motorola Q Forum

I have a new SanDisk 2gb storage card for my motorola Q. I am trying to put mp3's on my storage card (which i have already formatted to FAT32) and get them to play on my phone. The songs transwer successfully, the phone reads the storage card AND recognizes the mp3 files in the file manager, but when i try to play them on my phone off the storage card i get an error saying "an unknown error 0X8000FFFF had occurred" (and i think i even got a different error code last time i tried). can anyone help me?

did you transfer them via active sync?

try to use tcpmp if you have it installed that happens to me sometimes when im using wmp

Think I read a post or two saying active sync sometimes messes with mp3's *shrug*

i didn't try it thru activesyn. i've tried going through My Computer<My Pda< Storage Card and just dropping them in there. I also have Windows Mobile Device Center and tried doing it that way too. Aslo what tcpmp??

Much easier and faster to transfer music and videos thru your SD Card reader on your PC.

Also TCPMP is a superior media player compared to WMP.
