Did you search for low volume? You probably need to turn the system volume up. Press the scroll wheel straight in until you see the Earpiece volume screen, then turn the volume up with the scroll wheel.

Hold the scroll wheel and when the volume menu pops up put it at max.

But your instructions sucked. For example, you don't "hold the scroll wheel", you push it straight in. You also didn't say how to "put it at max" (you have to rotate the scroll wheel). My instructions gave those details, something a new user might need.

And, in spite of my more detailed post, the actual instructions that I posted took only 7 words more than yours and were far more timely. Good job.

I assume his point is that he doesn't think somebody can follow 22 words of instructions, and that removing useful information will help people with extremely short attention spans.

Found this on another site...

Use a Registry editor and....

"Navigate to
HKLM/Software/Motorola/BPCTRLR/WaveDev/BaseGains

Locate DWORD Value StereoHdstPathGain

A larger number will specify a higher gain. The system must be rebooted for changes to take effect. For me, the optimum value is 10, but I would recommend raising in single steps above the default to avoid damaging equipment (or your ears). An OS reinstall will most likely revert this setting, so you may have to change it again if you update."

Tried it today... From there you can change the handset, bluetooth, speakerphone, etc. volume... it works!!
