Moving Files To Memory Card - Motorola Q Forum

ok... gotta move some files to my card so they will not be destroyed while doing a MASTER RESET..... gotta get info again like you guys always do for me.... 1st.. turn on phone.... 2nd hit start.... 3...??
i only think i need to move 2 files that i loaded..... just gotta know where to look to see what else i may loose..... i don't wanna reset and then find out i lost 10 programs..... and favorites?? does it wipe them too??

all programs download you should have kept the .cab, that's the easiest.. moving them will not work unless you use something like AppMover,.
for programs look in \Program Files\ for pictures and that kind of stuff look in \My Documents\ for ring tones in \Application Data\Sounds for home screens in \Application Data\Home...

ok.... moved all my pertinent info... i think....
now one more question.... will i loose my contacts?? how do i move them to my card?? i cannot find them in the files..... ???

Just sync them to your computer.
That way you will be able to get them back.

He isn't sync'd (another thread), Copy your pim.vol that's in your root directory to the storage card. That's where your calander & contacts reside
