Default moto q problem

okay, so i got moto q from alltel on monday. it worked fine until tuesday night, then it started randomly shutting off, and in order to get it back on i had to take the battery out and put it back in. since that's really annoying, i took it back to alltel yesterday and got a new one. this one worked fine until about 11 wednesday night, then it shut off again. i tried the battery trick, but this time it just got stuck at the alltel screen when it finally turned back on.

i searched this forum and came up with some results about people having the same problem and something about it being a "hardware flaw" in the phone. the only third party software i had on the phone was Agile Mobile and i tried to do the master reset thing (holding the action key for five seconds, then while holding the action key still pressing end for five seconds) and it didn't work.

does anyone know if this happened because of something i did? or was it something out of my control? i just don't want to go back to alltel tomorrow and get ANOTHER moto q if this is something that just happens with the phone regardless of what you do.

not normal behavior. It does happen once in a great while on mine(sprint Q1).

How much charge is on the battery?
Did they give a new battery when you did the swap(should have)?
Has it done this before you installed the app?
Does it freeze or lockup also?

Check the contacts on the battery and phone.
