Moto Q "Phone off" error - Motorola Q Forum

Today while I was at work, I suddenly noticed when I went to my Text Messages screen there was a "Lock" at the top right hand corner of the display. I was able to send and receive text messages so I didn't think anything about it. Then I received a call and I was unable to receive the call. I wasn't able to press the "Answer" button.

Now all the sudden at the top where it would show the network status there is an X over the service area and instead of seeing the network as "Sprint / Home / Roam" it simply says "Phone off" - I have absolutely no service all the sudden. Any help would be much appreciated.

And apparently its now January 1, 2003 on my phone... Not sure what's going on!!

Hold down the home (house) key and go through the menus to make sure you're not in airplane mode. That would cause the phone to not get the correct information from the carrier.

I've switched from Normal to Silent to Meeting... I'd hate to do a Master Reset and lose the 200+ numbers and all the content on my phone, but its looking to be the only option

hold down the home key and go to 'wireless manager' and turn the phone to 'ON'
thats where you find 'flight mode'

Thank you very much, this is exactly what it was!! I don't know how or why this got set, as I was never in that menu.. but that's what happened. Much appreciated!

i have had the same thing happen before. mine seem to do it after being out of service for a long period of time.
