Need Help Messaging Accounts Disappearing! - Original Q

Howdy - For some reason, when I either hit my messaging hard key, or select the messaging icon from my homescreen, only one of my email accounts (I have three on the phone) appears. My Text Messaging option also disappears. The only "quick fix" I have found is to go to a contact, select "send a text message," cancel the text message, and hit the messenging hard key again, and then my accounts are visible. However, this only fixes the problem once.

Also, if I do receive an email, and click on the softkey (when it gives me the option of "message"), the same problem occurs. This may have been addressed in an earlier post, but I can't seem to find it.

This has been happening off-and on for about 16 months, but now is a constant problem, regardless of reboots, etc. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!!!

Negative - it started as a small hitch (once a month, etc), and now is everyday. The only software I added was Google Maps, a game pack (since removed) and that's it. I do send a bunch of Txts and pix messages however.

how is your free memory/RAM? SKlite may help free up some.

That's one of the other issues - always at about 11MB free. Never more, sometimes drops, but only when I'm using a program. Only have 7.58 MB free on the device, regardless of how much I delete (messages, pix, etc). Still have 670MB free on my card too.

What is SKlite? One I haven't heard of.....

As for adding/changing .....Once or twice. The accounts themselves operate fine (except for Hotmail, which is a pain in the ass and I just ignore it), just vanish as options, except for one random account. Always the same one.

SKlit is a nifty memory utility, clears out IE cache and several temp folders.

Ok, going to ask a silly question then - how do you get the apps to install on the card? I didn't have a directory option when I installed it from IE - should I install from my PC and sync it to the card? I'm happy to switch it over if that's the way to do it.

You are telling me. Drives me nuts as well. Hence the posting - hopefully we'll get some sort of resolution here!

When you install any program it should ask you where you are wanting to install it. The default is Device, but you should be able to hit the over key and change it to install it on the storage card.
