Mass Text Message delete

Okay
I've read through the forums and done everything I could find to delete my old texts, but nothing seems to work. I've gotten the extender to get the 'delete all' addition, but that just freezes it the same way it does when I try and 'clear all texts in folder' through the menu.
I've also gotten the Jeyo mobile extender and mobile companion, but my computer only allowed the device to be found one time, and when I tried to delete all the messages, it just froze. Aaaagain.
it DID give me a number: I have 12009 texts on my Q. It's a Sprint Q, I have a gig chip in it for games and ringers and such, but...
It's really beginning to piss me off. I can't do anything. I also have phantom messages in my outbox and inbox folders when looking through my texts.
I'll resort to a master reset, but I reeeeally don't want to. I also have no idea how to back up my contacts since Jeyo refuses to work again on my computer/phone; it just keeps showing up as "Starting Device Agent" at the bottom of the screen. I've run the ConnMan from my \Windows directory, I've made ActiveSync connections, NOTHING WILL WORK!!!
When I do 'Delete All' from the extender menu, it freezes for about five minutes and then runs really slow for a few more. When I go into my texts, it's only deleted maybe 100-200.
I'm going insane here. I've worked on this all day to no avail.
Please help!

That many messages will easily kill that little processor.

I'd do a quick Active Sync to back up contacts and a hard reset.

Alright, I'll do that... However.
I don't use Outlook. I can't stand it. How do I back up all my contacts without using it? I restarted my sync partnership and it just didn't do anything to help. It wouldnt even let me check the box marked 'contacts' (im assuming because it doesn't know where to put them as I'm NOT using outlook)

just go to file manager on your Q copy pim.vol to your storage card or computer then copy it back after master reset

my bad i didnt specify where it was its in the main directory ( /pim.vol ) hit menu options to make sure hide system files is unchecked

or sync to an online calendar like google or yahoo.

agreed. that is a lot of memory sitting there that is not available for other apps. A master reset is in order.
