Malfunction. Keys re-directing - Motorola Q Forum

This started happening today. My keys are re-directing. I used to think this would happen only when I text but it happens when I make a call too. I tried a hard boot and a soft boot and nothing. I have a first generation verizon Q.

When I press the backspace from home its as if i press the "p"
When I press down its as if I press "p"
When I make a call and press the "green" call button it automatically adds a "4"

Can anyone help?

it did this after a master reset(hard reset)? what apps did you install before this happened?

I haven't recently uploaded anything. I have the standard programs that were downloaded a while ago. Can you recommend for me to do anything? This happen right after I came from a soccer match so I hadn't been playing with it.

My brain is on low power setting tonight(lack of coffee) only one soulution comes to mind and that is usualy a last resort

judging by this thread it may be a funky defect of some sort.

oh dear. i just finished reading the thread and it doesnt look like there is a real solution other than to take it in and hope to get a good one.

I tried a search on google, didn't find much relavant info. I'm guessing something got screwed up in the ROM. Not much an end user can do to fix that :-/
