Default Losing Data Connection when hooking up to computer.....

My phone charger quite working a couple of days ago so I have been using my laptop to charge my phone over night. well whenever I plug my phone in the data connection stops. Which is kind of a bad thing since I have to stay connected to my exchange server. I know that my old phone used the internet connection off my desktop to stay up to date with my weather program but I didn't have it set up to sync with my exchanger server.

I try reconnecting to the data via loading a page in PIE and it does load the page, but after a short while is disconnects again. I searched the forums for an answer but couldnt' find one. any thoughts?

The only option I see is "allow advanced network functionality" I have checked and un-checked that. Still the same thing. I don't remember it doing this before I installed the latest updates to my phone. (About 2 weeks ago)

ok after playing around for a bit, I still can't figure this one out. i have to charge my phone, and I have to stay connected to my exchange server. But one of them has to give in order for the other to work. This seems to be happening ever since the Tech at the store updated my phone. could this be a bug? but it has to stop. I'm going into the store tomorrow and asking for a Q9...I have had so many issues with this Q ever since the tech started screwing with it.

they were at their wits-end...so they replaced it. I got the phone today, and still the same issue. Can anyone else confirm my issue? I'm going to contact ecare tomorrow and request a Q9c. I need to have a data connect for my exchange server!!!! ugh!!!!!!

I told the rep, the phone is going to have the same software, so the same issue is going to keep happening! he didn't believe me, so I just took the phone and walked out. Now what I told him is coming to pass, now they better give me another phone.

So I emailed them this:

Quote:
Hello,

I have been a Sprint Customer for a little over a year now and love and wish to stay with your company. However, I own a Motorola Q and have been having issues with Texting and Data Connections quiet often now. The Texting issues have seemed to go away but my Data Connection problem is really really giving me fits. Whenever I plug my Q in to charge from my laptop I lose my Data Connection. I HAVE to stay connected to my Exchange Server, for obvious reasons, and I cannot be having this issue. So, I took it into the Sprint Tech in my area and they agreed to replace the Q with a refurbished one. I told them I didn't think that was going to work, because this Q is going to have the same software and same updates as my other one. They still insisted in pursuing the refurbished Q. So I trusted them. I got the Refurbished Q today and I still have the same problem.

I cannot be having this issue all the time. I would like to know what the possibilities of getting a Q9c would be. I need to have a Windows Mobile phone for my Exchange Server, and I Do Not think another Q1 will work. After all I'm on my Second Q and I have tried everything with it. Please let me know.

Sincerely,
Nathan W.
we shall see what they say.
