Default looking for a Q WITHOUT thr software update

No BT DUN is killing me, the stupid USB sync makes the phone unusable when I pull it off the USB cable for a good minute. I seem to always get a phone call when I'm on-line. It's impossible to answer it in time, a problem I never had when I used the BT DUN.

Now when I either unsync or exit from tethering I take the battery out of my phone and restart it, and it's honestly faster then waiting for the phone to snap out of sync mode and let me use it.

I understand the update fixed some things, and overall made the phone a lot quicker on startup and is good in general. but the BT DUN issue kills the deal for me. Don't know where to get a pre-update phone though

If you have the update you want to go back to. You can call Motorola and they can walk you through getting it installed.

There is no download for the original firmware that shipped with it. As far as Moto and Verizon have told me, I'm stuck with the update. If I had known it would kill my BT DUN I wouldn't have ran it. but

Why not just spend the $35 and get Pda.net? It's quite possibly the greatest investment I've ever made.... lets me take "vacation" without work ever knowing.

I downloaded the demo, it still doesn't allow BT DUN, and as far as normal tethering, when I disconnect I have to wait minutes for my phone to be usable, so again I ended up taking the battery out and putting it back in. I don't know if this is just somethin my phone does, could be some sort of bug. Anyone here running the 1st update have a problem when unsyncing where the phone locks up for 1-2 minutes, sometimes more. This is annoying and I'm pissed Moto disabled it in the update, I doubt Verizon asked them to disable it because I can still use the USB tethering fine.

It enables ghetto-ized BT tethering -- if you BT activesync, then run it, it works like a champ. As far as the whole phone call thing, if, on the original software, you are DUN'd up and you try to do much before turning the modem off, the whole phone locked up requiring a battery pull -- the BT AS DUN is a much better solution IMHO
