Long texts being cutoff

Is anyone having issues when you receive a text longer the 160 characters. I'm getting the first 160, then a second text saying "the previous text has been modified to comply with handset. Media objects removed." There are never any media objects in the text, just the remainder of the text that disappears. Please let me know if there is a fix to the problem.
