lock out certain towers

does anyone know a way to lockout certain towers or system id's (sid)? in a few of the places that i travel it would be really great to lockout a certain system or force my phone to another system. i know the sid numbers but i cant find a hack to lockout a sid or force to another.

There is no "HACK" per se. I used to do this for my Samsung A900. You have to edit the prl manually. I used to do this to enable data roaming on the a900, however the only problem was you didn't know if you were roaming or not unless you knew your SIDs :-P

But yeah, anyhow, you need a PRL editor, and a way to put it on your phone.

ok. where do i get a prl editor? how do i fine a prl to start editing? how i get it off of and onto my phone?

Search search search my friend. Not a lot of info about it on this site, but elsewhere on the interwebs, that's how I learned. There are a couple of websites within the dark corners of the web that have all the files you need.
