Default KEEPING YOUR Q CLEAN and UNCLUTTERED!

Im a newer user..jus wondering if anyone has any tips for keeping the device running smooth and fast??
Are their any files that can be deleted off the phones main memory after purchase???
Should i be deleting the 'zip' files after installing apps?or will this cause them to not work??jus wondering...
I used to jus jump in and press buttons and figure stuff out for myself but after alot of lost data and whutnot id rather jus ask with this phone....
So anyone?any pointers? or mabye even unneeded software that comes on the q that i havent noticed that can be removed for added space??
ive got a 1g mini sd in mine as well for music, vids storage?
i was jus wondering if the phone will work better if its kept as empty as possible??or no?

discuss...

you can delete the cab installer files (not zip files) but keep a copy on the PC incase you need to reinstall

If you don't use the built-in Home screens, you can delete them from the \Application Data\Home folder. Most everything else is in ROM and can't be deleted.

If you do a lot of Web browsing, clear out the browser cache every now and them. If you get lots of E-mail or do lots of texting, clean those messages out (or, for E-mail, you can do the hack that stores E-mail on your memory card).

Steve

P.S. Posts are much more readable with spaces after sentences.

Better yet, keep them on your memory card. If you don't have room, buy another memory card for CAB files and backups. They aren't that expensive.

But definitely back the memory card up to your PC in case the memory card goes bad (that just happened to me earlier this month, but I had a backup).

Smile Move email

If you use email on the q, the best thing i did was move my emails from the q to a memory card. it saved me 25 MB on the Q. so now wen I get emails they are stored directly on the memory card. I do the same with pics when taken on the Q.

On top of that I save everything to the memory card when i download them. make sure you clear your cache in ie every now and again. I have had as much as 15 mb that neede to be cleared.

open up the internet explorer on your Q
hit the right soft key then options the memory and then you are there!
