Default Jawbone Bluetooth??

Since I lost my cool Plantronics bluetooth headset that was recommended to me from this forum (and it worked great), I had heard great things about the Jawbone. Anyone use one with their Q??

The only drawback that I can see is that there is no button to accept or redial phone calls with. I liked being able to hit the button on the Platronics to redial a busy call. I checked their site, no mention of anything other than call quality. Any features on this device??

There is actually a button to answer and redial. The button is under the colored cover and you just press the cover to depress the button.

As far as working with the Q, that is questionable. I personally had a Jawbone and it worked well...when it worked. There were serious connectivitiy issues and I have since learned that this wasn't an isolated problem, I tried two headsets myself. I have also heard of people not having this issue with the Q. I think it's pretty much a crapshoot. If you try it and it doesn't work they will refund it for you (Cingular will at least). It did work very well when it worked.

Here's the deal with the Jawbone. It was developed for Cingular (GSM technology). Here's a response I got from Aliph when inquiring about the problems I had with mine:

The Bluetooth® technology in Jawbone® is designed to work seamlessly with any Bluetooth enabled handset. Even though Bluetooth is a universal standard, not all Bluetooth is created equal – certain CDMA phones (e.g. phones found on Sprint and Verizon Wireless) can under perform when compared to certain phones found on GSM networks such as Cingular.
We have specifically optimized our headset to work flawlessly with all phones on the Cingular Wireless Network. While Jawbone is known to work well with many CDMA phones, there are a number of CDMA phones on the Verizon and Sprint networks which will experience issues regarding sound quality and pairing.
Jawbone is working fast and furiously to resolve these compatibility problems with CDMA phones – if you experience any problem using your Jawbone on a CDMA phone we would appreciate hearing from you and learning exactly what you experienced. Our expectation is by late June or early July we will release a CDMA version of Jawbone to resolve all known problems.
In the meantime, if you are unhappy with the performance of your Jawbone and use Jawbone on a CDMA network (e.g. Verizon or Sprint), we suggest you return Jawbone to your place of purchase within the allotted 30 day return window.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding,
The Aliph Customer Support Team"

They did tell me that they were working on one that would work with CDMA phones like the Q and that it was supposed to be out around June. I still haven't seen it, but I haven't been looking for it either.

Hope this helps...
Duane

That does help. Thanks, I think I'll wait for a Q compatable one to come out. In the mean time I'll have to scour mine and the wife's car looking for my Plantronics. I feel naked without it........
