Favorite it's a mess :]

yah.. so when i did the MR a few weeks i thought i did it all by the book, BUT (there's almost always a but right :} now i am dealing with some confusion, caused by that the installed programs on the sd card are still there, but that might not be the one i am using -does that make sense-

i think i will copy everything from the storage card to my pc (using a card reader), except i will not copy the Program Files directory, instead i will delete that, then i put back a fresh 'clone' and make sure to install and make a note of which programs are installed where..

hope this is going to work out :}

Since I dropped my first Q on some pointy desert rocks, I was sure to start a folder to save all of my application install files so I don't have to and find all of my programs again.

All my apps the first time around were installed on my Q so I didn't have your problem. But I have noticed this when using the restore disks that came with my PC. It was a mess and a lot of wasted HD space. I had reinstalled all of my programs before I looked in the Program Files folder.

Last night while I was messing around on the web, I think I got into someplace that I really wasn't suppose to be....(we'll leave that right there)
But before I backed my way out of there I copied and pasted ***tel's tech support procedure that they give to the CSR's.

This is a 2 step process from how this reads.....?

Doing a Master Reset
(usually fixes most corruption problems with WM devices)
Handset Unresponsive or Freezing Issues Reported
Handsets that are currently unresponsive or have had the freezing issue in the past.
1. Ensure customer understands that data will be lost and has taken the necessary steps to back up existing applications and data by synching the device.
2. Remove and Reinstall the battery
3. Press and Hold the center Navigation button
4. While holding down the Navigation button Press and Hold the Power button
5. Continue to hold both buttons until the green Master Reset screen appears (approximately 10-15 seconds). If the Master Reset screen does not appear and the handset completes the wake-up cycle remove the battery and repeat steps 1-4.
6. Press the YES (left navigation button) to begin Master Reset
7. Handset will power off then back on
8. Press START (left navigation button) and then Scroll to System Tools
9. Press the center Navigation button and then Scroll to Master Reset
10. Press the center Navigation button then Press YES (left navigation button)
11. This begins the Master Reset. Handset will power off then back on.
12. This completes the Master Reset operation. Return handset to the customer
