For some reason I'm noticing different icons and a much more smoother setup on my replacement Q...Did they update the phone or something?

Whats the tell tail sign of a Q with the updated ROM? Is there a software number differnce that would show this? I assume there is, but what is it?!?

a tail tail sign for me was observing the way the Q works...my first Q was somewhat laggy from the factory....this Q is very fast from the factory an it even has a modem link icon in the accesories folder....FROM THE FACTORY

your software version should read:

Q2-BP_C_06.07.03.P,Q2 Portable Ril Version 2.000
OS 5.1.195 (build 14960.2.4.0)

I see the Q2-BP_C_06.07.03P but I dont see any of the rest including the OS! Under the Q2 is a line that reads
MP_BSP_C_02.07.38.11P_HW_P2.1. Where do I find the OS and build. I thought that would all be under Phone Information but I don't see it.
