Default instant messaging - attachments

In other moto phones you could send a text message to your phone via email with an attachment (picture or song) and upon receiving the message on your phone you could save the attachment. This is how I would transfer sound files for ringtones. I sent a text to my q via my computer and had an mp3 file attached. The text came through and I see the file but I cannot highlight it to download or save it to the q. Can this be done? Now I know I can transfer via usb, but I am just checking. Maybe sometimes I may not have the USB file on me or the activesync on a particular computer, and this sould be a quick way to just get the file to the q.

Thanks

You would have to send it as a SMS message, and it also would depend on your carrier. I know VZW its your Cell #@vzwpix.com (Not sure about sprint). Then under the menu select 'Object View' to save it to your My Docs. Hope that helps you some.

You are absolutely right. I know that and that is how I did it before. I lost it for a second, but I am back now. Thanks.
