Installing .JAR files on Motorola Q - Motorola Q Forum

I’m attempting to download/install a .jar file (oxforddict_hcqcvktn.jar) on my Motorola Q (I already have the feadie.cab installed and I’ve registered common formats, I also “set” the jar file extension using feadie), but when I attempt to install the .jar files I get this message: Access denied. The program cannot start because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate.” What else needs to be done?

because java files aren't supported natively on the Q
you need jbed i believe first

Works perfectly. Is there any need to keep feadie?

yea feadie helps you download files that would not normally be supported for download on the Q

Ok the games that I want are right on my computer, do I still need feadie, b/c I'm not sure what it is for. I just downloaded jbed and I hope these work.

You only need Feadie if you're downloading files directly to your Q from your Q's browser. If the files are on your PC, just hook up your Q via Active Sync and copy them over to your Q.

Ok so I upgraded my .net framework now feadie works. I installed jbed and the game loads and then goes to the game menu. as soon i hit a button on my phone jbed crashes. any ideas? i'm using the Q.

Some java games may not work with the Q. What game was it? Maybe someone here can say whether the particular game has worked for them.

it was three games. two of them from ea, simcity and nba live 07. the other was guess who.
