Default how to do a reset

Can someone advise me on the best way to "reset" my Q?

I've heard things like "soft reset", "Hard reset" and "master reset" tossed around.... how does one do this?

Thx.

master reset & hard reset is the same thing...erases all the data
soft reset is taking out the batter and putting back in or turning on and off the phone....

master reset...turn off the Q turn back on and hold down the center silver button and then follow the prompts...will restore all original ROM software and registry but will remove all settings and other programs

soft reset is just power off and back on.
Master Reset (some people call it a hard reset) is Start > System Tools > Master Reset (it will be reset to out of the box state)
