Default hotmail on Q

I have my hotmail set up on my Q and was wondering if anybody has found a way for the Q to check messages every 15 min or so.... I know if it was an outlook account or other accounts, you can go to options and do it but there arent any options for hotmail.

The only other thing i can do is log on to pocket msn and that will give me my hotmail messages in real time but drains my battery when left on all day.

I did and found nothing worthy. I know some people have had luck using the pop3.live info but that only works with .msn users and plus members.

I dont think its as complicated as it is since when you set it up via Pocket MSN, it has your hotmail listed in your mailbox.

I WANT TO KNOW HOW I CAN GO AND SEE THE SETTINGS USED FOR MY HOTMAIL ACCOUNT WHEN POCKET MSN SETS IT UP FOR US. IS THERE ANY PLACE IN THE REGISTRY I CAN FIND WHAT THE SETTINGS ARE FOR MY HOTMAIL ACCOUNT? THEY HAVE TO BE USING SOME KIND OF POP/IMAP ADDRESS SINCE YOU CAN JUST HIT THE SEND/RECEIVE BUTTON.

The only way I got Hotmail to tell me I had mail was to set up a text message alert when new mail arrives. It's under options, over to the right in your "in box" and I think it's under "more options", (scroll down to the bottom). Look for mobile alerts for new messages and finish going through the wizard. It works 95% of the time. Hope this helps you. And IF you do have problems receiving alerts write tech support, they are good at resolving issues with hotmail glitches.

That is how I do too! I take it one step furthur and use PushEffect to take those text alerts and download the actual emails. Works great when Hotmail/MSN/Windows Live Mobile actually does send that alert!! I'm dropping Geeksters 95% to 80%! This past weekend their site was down so no alerts...

And I HAVE to add: Please don't yell at Rudeboy for his reply. He was giving the right answer. I did a search on the forum and found the answer I needed to this very same problem. If one search string doesn't give you an answer then try another one.
Ok...feel better now that I got that off my chest. It's been bothering me all morning. Ahhhhh! Serenity! It's a good thing.

I didn't intend that to mean screaming, I was on my phone with the caps lock on and decided not to re-do the message....

Did you know you can go to vzw.msn.com and set up text alerts there... which works 99.92 percent of the time... and you can also set up custom alerts with sports and such... and create quiet times, etc..... thought id share that with you... but i was looking more for a push style hotmail

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I do that with text messages to S.O.!!! He writes back asking why I'm yelling at him. I tell him b/c he's going deaf from old age. I wish I had an answer to email, too. I'm on Al-hell (Alltel) & not happy being lied to about MMS but that's another Rant for another day! All's good and everyone's happy. I'm glad you found a solution.
