Default Hotmail?

Hi all! I have had my Q for about a month now and I love it. However...my primary mail server is hotmail and I know that I can get to that by going to the internet on my phone but what about through the pocket msn on our phones? Why can't I get that to download my hotmail as often as it will the other email accounts? How do I get it to do that?

Im still a newbie with my Q but also use Hotmail as my main email.

I have my mobile alerts set to let me know whenever i get a mail and then just launch the MSN hotmail and send/receive. Its not ideal but it works

Best Wishes

Adam

Have a new Q for only 4 weeks as well.
I launch my Hotmail from Pocket MSN too but it doesn't download new mails by itself. I have to go to "menu > send/receive" to check for new mails.

How do you set it to check for and download new mails automatically?

With Hotmail you cannot set it up to push or pull your emails. You must do it manually with send or receive. Hotmail is not POP or the other type of email programs that allow such.

After searching around i did read that if you are signed into messenger it will also receive/send .. .not tried it yet but if your on unlimited data then you could just set yourself to invis and leave it running.

You are absolutely right! After playing around with it some today and going on what everyone else has said, I was able to figure this out and succeed! Very cool! Thanks to all of you!

I have unlimited data but not unlimited text. Does Pocket Messenger use up mu SMS like other instant messenging applications or is it just data? Usually I use messenger through the web to avoid text message usage.

Help.
