Goto Start > Messaging > Select your hotmail folder

Goto Menu > Options > Account Options > Select hotmail folder

This brings you to the mail set up.

Click next, next, next, next, next. This should bring you to a screen that says:

"Connect automatically and check for messages:"

Choose what you'd like.

Your most likely in the text messages, and not in your email.

I am pretty sure you probably have to go in through pocket MSN's hotmail options. and even then the only way I can get it to work is when I am signed into MSN

If I set up my hotmail through my phone, will it still tell me on my phones homepage that I have mail like it does with text. Im looking for a free mail client that I can sync with my phone to where it will alert me when I have new emails.. Right now, I use mail.com and yahoo (free version) and neither do this that I know of..
