Default Home Screen Lighting Up!!

Hello everyone, I'm having this issue with my phone: Periodically after the screen shuts off, my phone will randomly wake up! Now after checking to see if there are any updates to any sort of messages, which there is none, I was completely lost. But when I checked the Task Manager, the only task running is Text Messages. The thing is, I DON"T have any text messages! I've read of similar problems from different users but I was wondering if this a defect with the phone, software, etc and how to correct the situation. I noticed this also happened once I installed ActiveSync. Before the phone out of the box, didn't do it. Only when ActiveSync was installed and used did this issue start happening. Any and all help to resolve this situation is appreciated. Thanks.

most (if not all) of us are experiencing this "issue" and either they kept it a secret from me or there is no solution other then checking the task manager on a regular basis and killing the running app(s)....

I continue to wish for a free app that would kill all running apps on a set schedule - like every hour. That would become and instant classic, but I am NOT going to pay a dime for something that should be a built-in functionality.

I'd rather suffer.

On a sad but ironic note, due to the storm in the Northeast yesterday, I was getting much of my information about the Virginia Tech shootings on my Q, and at one point I had to use the "Kill All" option on the Task Manager and it seemed terribly inappropriate
