Help with RAM memory

New user here, so I am still working out some kinks. I bought this phone mainly for buisness. I would like view and edit large excel files 2-5 MB, but when I open them I get an error message that " There is not enough memory to perform this operation" . ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also, how can I set up ACTIVE SYNC to automatically send documents to the SD card instead of "MY Documents" on the phone memory?

how many apps have you installed on the device itself ?

for syncing i use MobSync, it's free and you can copy documents and what not where ever you want them.

Rudeboy, I have installed no apps, only what came on the phone. I have done some research and I think that the RAM on the phone will not handle the files I need to use.

oh really.... yea, i have some but not that size of Excel files.

I have been able to transfer the files to an SD card located in the phone and I can access them. But when I try to open them, I get the message stating that there is not enough memory to perform the task
